Here are just some of the ways a few of UNICEF USA's corporate partners are helping vulnerable children survive and thrive.
- American Airlines: Since 1994, American Airlines' charitable partnership With UNICEF USA has done a world of good. Thanks to American Airlines, the participating U.S. airline of UNICEF’s global Change for Good® program, over $140 million has been raised on select international American Airlines flights to support UNICEF’s programs for children. American Airlines employees known as "Champions for Children” dedicate a portion of their shifts to collecting passengers’ spare U.S. and foreign currencies on board. - Google: In 2005, Google chose UNICEF USA as the recipient of its workplace giving and matching gift program. Since then, Google and Google.org have committed an incredible $14 million to support UNICEF’s lifesaving work and help develop solutions to some of the world’s toughest challenges. Google has helped fund UNICEF's global immunization programs through a $4 million grant for polio vaccines' purchase and distribution and run an annual flu campaign. A $1 million commitment and a team of Google technical experts have helped UNICEF protect children from the Zika virus. YouTube's nearly $1.5 million commitment has ensured UNICEF could keep up the fight to protect children from the effects of COVID-19 and end the pandemic. Over the years, Google has also contributed millions of dollars to UNICEF humanitarian aid programs that have helped children and families recover from such natural disasters as hurricanes and earthquakes.
- Johnson & Johnson, Inc.: Johnson & Johnson and UNICEF's 35-year partnership has strengthened health systems worldwide, supporting maternal, newborn and child health and providing emergency relief. With collaborations in 30 countries and territories, J&J and UNICEF give lifesaving assistance to communities in greatest need. J&J and UNICEF empower frontline health workers by helping them get the skills training, resources and digital tools required to advance health for everyone, everywhere.
Since 2018, this global partnership has also focused on digital health innovations and psychosocial support for health workers. Through this work, we advance health workers' ability to keep themselves and their communities safe while strengthening health systems to bridge the gap in communities where fair access to proper health care is out of reach for vulnerable families and children.
- Prudential Financial: Since 2006, Prudential Financial has been a leading partner for UNICEF USA, providing critical investments in emergency programming, disaster risk reduction, preparedness and peacebuilding. Prudential's support combines impact investments, philanthropic dollars, special event support, workplace giving and employee engagement. Prudential was the first corporate investor of both UNICEF USA’s Revolving Bridge Fund, an innovative financial tool capable of rushing lifesaving assistance to children worldwide, and the Mercury Fund, a pooled fund for rapid emergency response.
