Six Cents Initiative
Circle K International's Six Cents Initiative
CKI's Six Cents Initiative was a campaign to help provide the most basic element to life: clean water and sanitation.
CKI members helped save children by raising funds that provided children with rehydrating salts they need to survive the diseases they often acquire by drinking contaminated waters. Funds raised also helped meet other water and sanitation needs, such as water purification tablets and basic family water kits.
CKI raised an astounding $67,105.13 as of June 2017, when the WASH Project began.
*Originally titled "Six Cents" because the cost of UNICEF’s oral rehydrating salts was six cents. Please note that the cost of a packet of the lifesaving salts is now seven cents.
