Thousands of trafficking victims are right here in the United States. Human trafficking has been reported in all 50 states in the U.S., with a particularly high incidence of trafficking in California, Florida, New York, Ohio and Texas.
The incessant demand for commercial sex and cheap labor puts children throughout the world at risk of becoming the “supply.”
The reality is that any child can fall victim to this horrific human rights violation, but it’s the world’s most vulnerable and marginalized children who are at the highest risk of exploitation and trafficking.
To help the child victims of trafficking, we must become aware of the problem and educate our friends and family members about how to prevent and end it.
Pledge to show these children that their needs matter and their voices are heard.
