Cynthia is a high school senior, residing in Southwest Florida. She is a proud, first-generation immigrant and Latina representative from Mexico! She sees her involvement with the UNICEF USA National Youth Council as a way to express her voice for the various underrepresented school communities across the US. Hence, she intends to create opportunities for students like herself, to receive a well-deserved education without the repercussions or hindrance of simply living in a low-income area. In the future, she intends to study molecular and cellular biology along with a joint concentration in international relations. Outside of UNICEF USA, her interests include running, reading, and speaking out for her Florida community through statewide activism.
