Amelie is a high school senior in Orlando, Florida. She is incredibly passionate about children’s rights and was inspired to join UNICEF in response to political actions targeting freedom of expression and diversity in education. She plans to study political science and environmental sociology in college to become an environmental lawyer. Outside of UNICEF, she is the Outreach Director for the Justice Education Project, a youth-led/focused organization targeting injustice within the criminal justice system. She also enjoys being involved in her community, where she works at the Orlando Science Center and volunteers for various organizations. She loves to read, run, and try out many artistic hobbies in her free time. She hopes to help create change within the children’s rights movement by working with UNICEF.
