Change for Good is a global UNICEF program that converts travelers’ donations of foreign and domestic currency into lifesaving assistance for the world’s children. American Airlines has been the participating U.S. airline since 1994. The company’s largest — and one of its longest-running — charitable programs, Change for Good on American Airlines has raised over $9 million. The program’s success is due, in great part, to the volunteer efforts of Champions for Children, the American Airlines employees who collect funds from generous travelers.

From October 24-31, on selected international flights, American’s customers will be able to see a special Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF video and will have the opportunity to make Change for Good donations in Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF boxes. Throughout October, American’s customers can also donate foreign and domestic currency in Halloween-themed collection boxes at Admirals Club® lounges and Flagship Lounges® worldwide.  In addition, American’s people will engage in fundraising efforts to support Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF during the last week of October.

Coin by coin, note by note, these donations add up to make a huge difference in the life of a child in need.
