Jeremy is committed to using his voice to champion children’s rights and to help create a more equitable world for every child.
UNICEF Ambassador since 2021
A Harvard University alumnus and the first American of Chinese or Taiwanese descent to play in the National Basketball Association (NBA), Jeremy is well-acquainted with being a trailblazer.
Jeremy sparked the cultural phenomenon known as “Linsanity,” helping to lead the New York Knicks to the playoffs during the 2011-12 NBA season, an historic turnaround. In 2019, Jeremy became the first Asian American player to win an NBA championship, having done so with the Toronto Raptors.
Jeremy has been playing for the New Taipei Kings of the Taiwan Professional Basketball League since 2023. He also runs the Jeremy Lin Foundation, dedicated to serving youth from overlooked Asian American Pacific Islander and other communities of color.

Jeremy began working with UNICEF in 2020, showing his passion for mental health, equity and inclusion and advocating for the most vulnerable communities.
Early in the COVID-19 pandemic, Jeremy supported UNICEF’s urgent relief efforts by appearing as a special guest at numerous UNICEF virtual events, contributing to conversations with the UNICEF Chief of Immunization and a UNICEF Health Specialist on the importance of routine vaccinations for kids globally.
Speaking out about mental health and racial bias in youth sports
Jeremy has also represented UNICEF USA at the State of the World’s Children Report Launch event and appeared as a keynote speaker at The Aspen Insitute Project Play Summit discussing mental health and racial bias in youth sports.
In 2024, Jeremy spoke with a UNICEF USA mental health advocate and Global Mental Health Lead on how to drive change for young people who face mental health challenges both in the community and at a national level. This interview went live on his Instagram channel to his 2 million-plus followers, advocating for Congress to take action in passing important legislation such as the MINDS Act.
