If You Were Forced to Leave Home, What Would You Remember?

June 28, 2016

Watch Iraqi and Syrian children, living in refugee camps, speak movingly about what they've lost ... and what they hope for the future.

One Iraqi girl says: "We've lost our memories.  Our house, our clothes ... everything is gone."

Currently, UNICEF estimates at least 30 million children worldwide have fled their homes because of conflict and violence.

Being displaced or living as a refugee can threaten a child's health, development and education.  It can also affect a child's basic rights to survive and thrive.

Like millions of refugee and displaced children around the world, the lives and futures of millions of other children are in jeopardy, too — even if they live at home with their families.

We have a choice: Invest in the most excluded children now or risk a more divided and unfair world.
