Fracht Group North America Announces Partnership with UNICEF USA to Support Children in Crisis
NEW YORK (July 7, 2026) — Fracht Group North America, a global leader in freight forwarding and logistics, is proud to announce a new partnership with UNICEF USA in support of the UNICEF Global Humanitarian Thematic Fund (GHTF), helping deliver lifesaving relief and protection for children before, during and after emergencies and humanitarian crises around the world.
For more than 50 years, Fracht has connected people, businesses, and communities across continents through the movement of goods and critical supply chains. Today, the company is expanding that commitment beyond logistics by helping ensure that vulnerable children and families receive the support they need when disaster strikes.
Through this partnership, Fracht’s investment supports UNICEF's efforts to respond rapidly and effectively to emergencies, including natural disasters, conflict, disease outbreaks, and other humanitarian crises. The UNICEF Global Humanitarian Thematic Fund provides flexible funding that allows UNICEF to act quickly when children are at greatest risk, including in underfunded and often overlooked emergencies. It also enables proactive planning so that communities are prepared for future shocks and crises.
As a company operating in more than 100 countries, Fracht understands firsthand the importance of global connectivity, resilience, and preparedness. This partnership reflects the company's belief that global reach carries a responsibility to support communities facing extraordinary challenges. By partnering with UNICEF USA, Fracht is not only helping address today's humanitarian needs but also investing in a brighter future for the next generation—ensuring that children around the world have the opportunity to grow, learn, and thrive regardless of the circumstances they face.
“At Fracht, we witness every day how interconnected our world truly is. While our business is built on moving goods across borders, our values are rooted in supporting people. As we celebrate 70 years of global operations, we believe it's equally important to invest in the future of the communities we serve. Through our partnership with UNICEF USA, we're using our brand to stand for something bigger than our business—supporting an organization that is creating meaningful, lasting change in the lives of children and families around the world,” said Reiner Wiederkehr, CEO, Fracht North & Central America.
The UNICEF Global Humanitarian Thematic Fund enables UNICEF to prepare for and respond to emergencies wherever and whenever they occur. This flexible funding model helps accelerate humanitarian response efforts, improve disaster preparedness, and deliver essential services including nutrition, safe water, healthcare, education, and child protection.
"When emergencies strike, children can't afford to wait. Flexible funding allows UNICEF to respond quickly by delivering lifesaving supplies, protecting children, and helping communities recover when they need it most. We're grateful to Fracht Group North America for recognizing that global leadership means more than moving goods; it means standing with children and families in their greatest moments of need," said Michele Walsh, Executive Vice President and Chief Philanthropy Officer, UNICEF USA.
Every $1 invested in disaster preparedness can generate an average savings of $4 on the next emergency and speeds up operations by more than 12 days, with greater impact achieved using limited resources. Through this partnership, Fracht is helping UNICEF accelerate results and support interventions that create lasting impact for children today and into the future.
