Ambassador since 2005

David Beckham has stood with UNICEF for over two decades. “Some of the moments I’m most proud of have been through my work with UNICEF — shining a light on the challenges facing children — boys and girls — around the world,” Beckham says.

Today, there are more children in need and at risk than at any time in recent history. As always, the most vulnerable children face the biggest challenges — especially girls.

More children are living in conflict zones since World War II, displaced from their homes and facing hunger and disease.

Girls remain twice as likely as boys to miss out on education and job opportunities. They face higher risks of gender violence, HIV and other dangers — including maternal mortality as they grow older.

But together, we can give them hope.
