Kathryn
Kathryn is a high school student in New Jersey with a deep passion for children's rights, which she has put into action in her local community by addressing food insecurity and advocating for youth welfare. This is her first year on the National Youth Council. Kathryn joined her school's UNICEF club as a freshman and has since risen to the executive board, where she leads projects including toy drives and food donations to local shelters. Kathryn is also a multidisciplinary artist who uses digital media and art as tools for advocacy, producing documentary work and paintings exploring human rights, earning recognition at Congress. She strongly believes in the importance of youth voices and puts that belief into practice by working with children to deepen their understanding of rights and civic empowerment through education and collaboratively creating picture books that shed light on social justice issues. In her free time, she loves going on day trips and spending time with her loved ones.
