Kugu is on a mission to serve those in need across all borders, with a focus on creating a more peaceful and just world. Passionate about children's rights and youth empowerment, she strives for societies where young people can achieve their fullest potential as global citizens. Her extensive experience includes serving as a UNICEF National Youth Representative, founding her high school's UNICEF Club, and leading international humanitarian projects for Ukrainian refugee children, youth rights and anit-semitism advocacy with the European Union. She has been awarded The Congressional Award and STEM Star, and has won two European Parliament essay contests.

Kugu has conducted foreign policy research in Israel, World War II lost Holocaust narratives research in Germany, and social neuroscience research at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She has written over 20 books to help struggling readers, which are sold globally and are honorarily placed in the Library of Congress. Kugu is excited to use her skills and compassionate heart to contribute to UNICEF’s mission and empower youth worldwide.
