Bernard Taylor is a retired partner with the international law firm, Alston & Bird, where he was a former chair of both the firm’s Management Committee and the firm’s Products Liability Group. With 38 years of trial experience, Mr. Taylor is both a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and a Fellow of the American College of Civil Trial Mediators. Mr. Taylor received his J.D. degree from Vanderbilt University School of Law and his B.A. from Wayne State University. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Mr. Taylor was a Detroit Police investigator involved in federal and state criminal investigations. Mr. Taylor is the current Chair of the UNICEF USA National Board, a member of the UNICEF International Council,  and member of the UNICEF USA Atlanta Advisory Board. He is also a member of the National Board of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) and member of the ADL Southeast Regional Board; Chair of the Fulton-DeKalb Hospital Authority Board and member of the Grady Memorial Hospital Corporation Board; and member of the Board of Trustees of the Vasser Woolley Foundation. Mr. Taylor currently serves as an Arbitrator and Mediator for Judicial Arbitration and Mediation services, and he has four children and lives in Stone Mountain, Georgia.
