A meaningful visit with UNICEF-supported Syrian refugees in Lebanon
Justin’s Ambassador announcement in 2022 followed his program visit to Lebanon in advance of World Refugee Day.
During the trip, Justin met with Syrian refugees and learned from experts about UNICEF's work in the country. He spent time at an informal settlement in the Baalbek-Hermel region, where he spoke with children and their families about their experiences and hopes for the future. He learned about UNICEF's water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) programs implemented to prevent the spread of disease and participated in activities supporting children's right to play.

While in Mount Lebanon and Beirut, Justin learned about how UNICEF works with partners to ease the devastating impacts of Lebanon's socio-economic crisis on families while also helping Syrian and Lebanese children get back to school.
Justin has supported UNICEF at other key moments as well, including World Youth Skills Day, UNICEF USA's annual Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF campaign and UNICEF's emergency response to the 2023 earthquakes in Türkiye and Syria.
