As the Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee for Johnson & Johnson, the world’s largest and most broadly-based healthcare company, Joaquin provides strategic direction for the Pharmaceutical and Consumer Health sectors (a $60 billion portfolio) and oversees the Global Supply Chain, Technology and Health & Wellness teams.
His 30-plus year career with J&J has spanned multiple business sectors, geographies and functions. A believer that the healthcare industry must undergo a digital revolution to change the trajectory of human health, he is a champion for the integration of data science, intelligent automation and new technologies in solving business and biomedical challenges with speed and efficiency.
As a dual citizen of Spain and the United States, Joaquin’s international perspective provides him a deep appreciation of diverse thoughts and opinions. He is committed to nurturing a diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace and serves as the executive sponsor of the African Ancestry Leadership Council ERG, mentors MBA candidates, and regularly speaks on the value of people-first leadership. Joaquin received his MBA from ESADE Business School and his Master’s in international management at the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
