Colin - Northwest

Colin is an environmental justice advocate from California, driven by a deep commitment to the intersection of policy, research and youth leadership. He serves as Co-Chair of the U.S. Youth Action Council for the United Nations Ocean Decade, where he leads nationwide advocacy efforts focused on ocean conservation, climate resilience and sustainable policy, which led to President Biden signing the Coastal Habitat Conservation Act (H.R. 2950). Passionate about advancing equity and protecting vulnerable communities, Colin is also dedicated to the mission of UNICEF USA, inspired by its focus on child welfare, global justice and youth empowerment. At the local level, he is the founder of non-profit Homeless Heroes, combating food waste and food insecurity among the homeless, including unhoused youth. He also serves as an elected official on the San Mateo County Youth Commission, where he works to amplify youth voices in local policy decisions, from education to mental health.
