Heldana

Heldana is a 17-year-old Eritrean-American from California. She became involved with UNICEF USA because she believes every child deserves the opportunity to thrive, regardless of their background or challenges. Heldana is passionate about advocating for children and amplifying their voices, and she hopes to continue this work throughout her future career. As a high school senior, she is focused on her academic goals, participating in sports and taking on leadership roles in various student organizations. In addition to her work with UNICEF USA, Heldana enjoys mentoring younger students and organizing events through her clubs to foster positive change within her school and the wider community. She also values spending quality time with family and friends.
