Raising $100,000 to Get Clean Water to Children
Since 2007, the UNICEF Tap Project has helped children worldwide gain access to clean water. This year we are excited to announce a new way to help raise money and awareness. Go without your phone to help give clean water to children in need.
10 minutes = 1 day of water.
The beta version of the UNICEF Tap Project mobile app went live on February 14. Due to the overwhelming response, supporters stayed away from their phones long enough to unlock a $100,000 donation provided by UNICEF’s Next Generation!
From now through World Water Month, visit tap.unicefusa.org to join us and take the UNICEF Tap Project challenge!*
*Subject to the pledged limits from our generous donors and sponsors. See tap.unicefusa.org/legal for more information. Standard data rates will apply.
In 2011, through the UNICEF Tap Project, Next Generation helped fund water and sanitation (WASH) programs in Togo, Vietnam, Mauritania and Cameroon. Thanks to Next Gen’s contribution, UNICEF helped educate people on proper hygiene and sanitation in Vietnam; install and monitor hand-pump wells in Togo and Cameroon; and support programs focused on proper hygiene for school children in Mauritania.
