UNICEF USA staff

Our staff is a diverse group of highly capable and committed individuals who bring a wide range of professional experiences, both nonprofit and for-profit, to bear on our mission.

We are an equal opportunity organization and our core values — Power of We, Children and their Rights, Big Thinking; Bold Action — guide us in how we carry out this mission each day.

December 25, 2020, Yerevan, Armenia..“Every child is a fairytale to me. I am surprised at their limitless imagination, which is why I thoroughly enjoy our sessions together. Working with children helps you look at ordinary things from different perspectives. In the beginning, they were quite shy and would hardly talk to each other. Looking back, my heart warms to see how far they have come,” shared Marina, their art teacher.

UNICEF USA interns

A limited number of paid internship opportunities are available in our New York City National Headquarters and regional offices for current university students. Interns support the organization in a variety of areas including fundraising, marketing, and communications as well as general research and administration.

UNICEF USA does not have overseas internships. All successful applicants are expected to make their own arrangements for travel, lodging and living expenses during the internship period as appropriate.

UNICEF USA recruits interns on an as needed basis; however, the majority of opportunities generally coincide with the Fall, Spring and Summer semester university calendar. See "Current Job Openings" at the bottom of this page.

Diversity, Racial Equity and Belonging

UNICEF USA envisions an organization where we affirm each other’s humanity, value each other’s gifts and contributions, include each other’s perspective and realize a world where all children are healthy, educated, protected and respected.

We are committed to living out Diversity, Racial Equity and Belonging (DREB) in our organization, our work and our communities.

Be cautious about emailed job postings

Our organization acknowledges that there has been an increase in websites and emails imitating UNICEF USA (UUSA). All open vacancies at UUSA will be posted on our partner site. We do know that our partner site is not currently optimized and are working on an update; however, those listings are valid. Please disregard any emails that refer you to a different website.

All recruitment requests will be from a ‘unicefusa.org’ email address. UNICEF USA will not request sensitive personal information (i.e. social security) over the phone or by email.

Offers of employment or job openings with requests for payment of fees are fraudulent. The scammers' request for the payment of fees may come only after you have accepted the fraudulent offer. UNICEF USA does not charge a fee at any stage of the recruitment process (application, interview meeting, or any other fees). Any requests for such payment or information should be refused. If you have already sent money, then you should report this to your local law enforcement authorities for appropriate action. Learn more.
