NEW YORK (March 1, 2024) – V. Renée Cutting is transitioning out of her role as Chief Philanthropy Officer at UNICEF USA, effective March 1, 2024. Renée will serve as Special Advisor to the CEO to continue to provide her experience and insights to propel critical activities forward.

Renée pushed the organization to think big and secure transformational partnerships. We are grateful for her impact and expertise, which will help more children survive and thrive across the world.”

During her time at UNICEF USA, Renée played a key role in elevating annual fundraising by implementing strategic initiatives that increased annual fundraising revenue, enabling UNICEF USA to support more children globally. Renée led the Philanthropy Division through the COVID pandemic and the Ukraine crisis leading to record-setting years in terms of revenue and impact. She also expanded donor engagement, guiding innovative new approaches for connecting with and stewarding existing and prospective supporters.

Michele Walsh will serve as the organization’s new Chief Philanthropy Officer and Executive Vice President to continue raising critical resources for the world’s children and further grow the organization’s fundraising capacity. During her nearly 15 years at UNICEF USA, Michele has gained extensive experience leading successful front-line fundraising teams and fundraising strategy.
