The Women's National Book Association is a national organization of women and men who work with and value books.

As an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization, WNBA exists to promote reading and literacy, and to support the role of women in the community of the book. The Association is a proud partner in the U.S. Fund for UNICEF's education alliance for women and girls in Afghanistan.

UNICEF-Supported Schools in Afghanistan Provide Security and a Future for Children

In the few weeks since Catherine Mbengue became UNICEF's Representative in Afghanistan, she has been touring the country to see what UNICEF is doing, particularly with regard to education for girls and women.
