About NGOs

What is an NGO Supporter?

Today more than ever, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and civil society partnerships are influencing action for children. UNICEF recognizes the importance of NGO activism for children and places great emphasis on such partnerships in helping to create a world fit for children.

The U.S. Fund for UNICEF works with NGOs and civil society organizations that are headquartered in the U.S. and are interested in supporting UNICEF’s work through education, advocacy, and fundraising. These groups recognize that children are the future.  Supporting UNICEF enables them to reach millions of children in need around the world.

Civil society voices are the key to change for children around the world, and writing to your elected officials is one of the most effective ways to support child survival. Raise awareness for the U.S. Fund for UNICEF’s lifesaving efforts around the world and spread the word by supporting our advocacy efforts. Contacting your elected officials lets them know that their constituents strongly believe global child survival issues should be a priority.
