The Audrey Hepburn® Society Ball is a one-of-a-kind white tie celebration dinner of UNICEF's work in over
190 countries, as well as a tribute to the outstanding humanitarian leaders who make our work possible. UNICEF
has saved more children's lives than any other humanitarian organization in the world. Every day 19,000 children
die of preventable causes. UNICEF is working to reduce this number to zero by providing children with health care,
clean water, nutrition, education, emergency relief and more.

At this year’s gala we are proud to honor Margaret Alkek Williams for her extraordinary dedication to the health
and well-being of children in Houston and around the world. A committed philanthropist, Ms. Williams will be the first
person in the United States to receive the Audrey Hepburn® Society Philanthropist of the Year Award in recognition of
her charitable giving in the Houston community and abroad, and for her induction into the Audrey Circle, the highest level
of UNICEF’s Audrey Hepburn® Society. Sean Hepburn Ferrer, Audrey Hepburn's son and chair of the Society, will present
the award to Ms. Williams at the event. In addition, UNICEF will create a special award in her honor—the Margaret Alkek
Williams Humanitarian Award—to be given to deserving philanthropic leaders in UNICEF's Houston community for years
to come. We hope you will join us at this historic event as we celebrate Ms. Williams' lasting legacy.
