Bob Manoukian

Mr. Manoukian is also known by his Armenian name, Vatche or Watche. An Honorary Citizen of Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, he was awarded the Insignia of Prince of Cilicia and the Order of St Gregory the Illuminator, the highest honor which can be bestowed by the Armenian Church, for his many charitable works. He is a major supporter of numerous children’s charities throughout the world, funded the acquisition, construction and refurbishment of two schools and a church, and his scholarship funds have enabled some 600 academically able students who lack financial resources to attend university. 

His business interests include world-wide investment properties, biotechnology, renewable energy, pharmaceuticals, soft drink bottling and the leisure industry. He is Chairman of HSBC Bank Armenia, part of the HSBC group, the world’s largest bank, and was instrumental in them setting up a branch network in Armenia.
