Susan Nethero

 

Currently, Mrs. Nethero is a managing director with Golden Seeds, an angel investor network that is focused on funding women-owned business. She is also an independent mentor for women entrepreneurs in Atlanta and New York City. She sits on the advisory board for Blamtastics, a consumer goods company for beauty products, Hugo Naturals, a natural health and cosmetic manufacturer, and Pluggz, an eco-friendly shoe company. Mrs. Nethero also advises Garnish and Gather, a local-business providing Cook at Home Dinner kits, that her daughter launched last year. Aside from her mentorship, Susan is the chair of Access to Capital for Entrepreneurs, which is a non-profit that provides debt financing for women’s businesses. She is serves as board member for Executive Women of Goizueta School of Business.

She was the founder and CEO of Intimacy,  a retail chain of lingerie stores that is known for its personalized bra fitting. Mrs. Nethero has appeared as on national shows such as Oprah, Dr. Oz, The Today Show and others. She has also been featured in national women’s magazines including O, Redbook, Women’s Day, and Marie Claire. She sold the company a few years ago.  Prior to Intimacy, Mrs. Nethero spent 20 years in the corporate world with executive strategic assignments for Marketing Corporation of America, Time Life Video, and Xerox Learning Systems. She serves as a director and also on the Governing Board and Foundation board of The Committee of 200, an invitation-only membership organization of the world’s most successful women entrepreneurs and corporate leaders. She has been active with The National Charity League and is a former director of Bauder College. She graduated from the University of Connecticut in 1975 with a BA in marketing.
