Dr. Gulshan Harjee is currently a primary care physician in Atlanta, Georgia where she has practiced for 30 years. She grew up in Karanga, Tanzania, just outside Kiyungi. She enjoys community service and has served on various boards involved with education, the arts and health care. She is married to Zul Devji originally of Kisumu, Kenya. Dr. Harjee believes that UNICEF has a track record of being the premier organization with a history of serving Africa. As children, she and her siblings stood in long lines to receive immunizations (and then the best chocolate treats upon completion) in their home town of Moshi, Tanzania. Gulshan is currently a major donor to the U.S. Fund for UNICEF and has hosted two cultivation events in her home. She has organized a few fundraising events for UNICEF for Tanzania, and for floods and polio in Pakistan.
