Denise Poole graduated from West Virginia University with a degree in Food Service Management. She became the Manager of Food Service for the Compass Group in 1985. Denise moved on to Midway Airlines as Director of Inflight over flight attendants and food services. Four years later Midway filed for bankruptcy. Denise served on the liquidation team and ultimately secured the position of Director Food and Beverage for Delta Airlines overseeing global menu planning and managing a budget of 750 million dollars. During her 20 years at AMI (a leader in serving unique food and beverage markets for airlines and cruises), Denise has built a product portfolio and sales team spanning the US and Europe, that now generates over 120 million in sales annually. She was instrumental in expanding the company by developing AMI Wines in 1998 and continues to lead the two companies as CEO. Denise currently serves on the Inflight Food Service Association and has served on the IFSA Government Affairs and Conference Planning committees. She has been a member of the Big Brothers – Big Sisters organization, served on the Board of Boys and Girls Club of Metro Atlanta as well as the Executive Board of Emerge for the past 8 years. Denise has been married for 39 years and while the do not have any children, she has been blessed with 9 godchildren and maintains an active role in their lives. Denise serves on the Southeastern Board of Directors and is Co-Chair of the Speaker Series Committee.
