Brannigan Thompson, Immediate Past Chair
Brannigan Thompson is currently serving in the role of SVP, head of Organizational and Corporate for Voya FinancialTM, a premier retirement, investment, and insurance company serving the financial needs of 13 million customers in the U.S. He serves as a member of the Leadership Council. In addition, he is also the Executive Sponsor for the company's Mentoring Advantage Program, serves on the Community Investment Review Committee, and is also a change agent for the Continuous Improvement initiative recently launched.
Prior to this role, Brannigan worked three years as the Global Director of Executive Performance and Rewards Strategy at the Company's Global headquarters in Amsterdam, Netherlands, working to design a new Executive Rewards strategy and compensation structure for ING Group's Executive Board members. Domestically, in early 2000, Brannigan worked as a Business Consultant with Towers Watson.
Brannigan is also heavily involved with Voya's Corporate Community Foundation initiatives serving on boards such as UNICEF, the 100 Black Men of Atlanta, Junior Achievement and UNCF (United Negro College Fund). He was also a recipient of The Network Journal's, 40 Under Forty Achievers for 2014 and has been named Atlanta’s Man of Influence by the Atlanta Tribune magazine for his impact in the community.
