Circle K International

Youth service leadership joins The Eliminate Project

Circle K International, a member of the Kiwanis International family of youth service leadership programs, joins Kiwanis in a new global effort to raise $110 million to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus by 2015.

Circle K funds will support The Eliminate Project, which will provide the necessary resources and advocacy to support the elimination of maternal and neonatal tetanus and protect the lives of millions of mothers and their future newborns.

The Eliminate Project

The Eliminate Project, the Kiwanis family’s new global campaign for children, will support the elimination of maternal and neonatal tetanus through funding, service and advocacy. Tetanus is a swift, painful and highly deadly disease that is a threat in countries where people lack basic healthcare education and services. By immunizing childbearing women with low-cost tetanus vaccines and providing tools and education to ensure hygienic birth practices, this terrible disease can be prevented. More than 100 million women of childbearing age need to be vaccinated to protect them and their future newborns.

How to Make a Donation

An average of $1.80 will provide 3 doses of vaccine, syringes, safe transport and storage, education of communities, training of health workers and more.
