The Members Project ™
In 2007, American Express launched The Members Project which brought American Express Cardmembers together from across the country to submit, discuss, rate and ultimately vote on the one project idea they wanted American Express to fund. The winning project idea was to provide safe drinking water to millions of children in the developing world and UNICEF was the organization selected to bring the idea to life.
In 2008, American Express became a National Supporter of the Tap Project, which benefits UNICEF's clean water programs worldwide. In addition to their donation to the U.S. Fund for UNICEF, American Express is engaging its vast network of restaurant merchants and Cardmembers to participate in the nationwide campaign.
