James T. Ziniel joined SIP America with over 12 years of experience in the Investment Management fundraising space. Prior to SIP America, Jim worked for KBR Capital Partners, where he was Vice President of the Great Lakes, focusing on distressed real estate opportunities, private equity and hedge funds and Pacific Cornerstone Ventures. Jim also ran the Midwest Territory and held the position of Vice President for Icon Capital Securities, a leader in the corporate infrastructure and equipment leasing space, and GK Development, a boutique Real Estate Investment trust. He learned the institutional and retail marketplace while working for Goldman Sachs Asset Management raising capital for their separately managed account platforms and private equity fund of funds.
He started in the industry as a Financial Advisor for Morgan Stanley, where he focused his practice on alternative investments and providing asset management services for foundations and endowments in their private wealth management division. The group he worked with managed over $700 million in assets. Jim currently holds his FINRA Series 7, 31, 63 and 65 licenses. He received his Bachelor’s degree from DePaul University in Chicago.
He is a lifelong resident of Chicago and is active in his community supporting UNICEF’s Next Generation, Special Olympics and tutoring inner city children.
