Dayle Haddon

UNICEF Ambassador since 2008

As a model for over 35 years, Dayle Haddon has appeared on the covers of top fashion and beauty magazines, and authored two best-selling books. She is the only model to have had four major beauty contracts—Max Factor, Revlon, Estée Lauder, and L'Oreal Paris.

Dayle now dedicates most of her time to philanthropy and advocacy work as the L'Oréal Global Ambassador for Women of Worth, a member of the Council of Foreign Relations, and as a UNICEF Ambassador since 2008. Since being appointed a UNICEF Ambassador, Dayle has been dedicated to helping UNICEF reach a day when zero children die from preventable causes. UNICEF Field Visits

In September 2007, Dayle traveled to the Darfur region of Sudan, where she interviewed women and children in internally displaced peoples (IDP) camps over a five day period. The visit included briefings from UNICEF staff, as well as visits to UNICEF-supported child-friendly centers, water points, health centers, schools and income generation projects.

Additionally in her travels with UNICEF, Dayle has also toured hospitals and health facilities throughout Angola, and visited women and children in Bolivia. Upon her return from Bolivia in 2010, Dayle blogged on The Huffington Post about her visit and the changes UNICEF is seeking to bring about in fighting poverty, HIV/AIDS, and child abuse and in providing education.

Most recently, Dayle returned from a field visit to Haiti in March 2012 where she witnessed UNICEF's on-going relief and recovery efforts.

UNICEF Holiday Campaign

Dayle served as the 2009 National Holiday Spokesperson to promote UNICEF's "Inspired Gifts," which can provide lifesaving vaccines, therapeutic foods, and more for children in need.

UNICEF Snowflake Ball
