World Day Against Trafficking in Persons Twitter Party

Join us for a Twitter party on July 30th to raise awareness about human trafficking!

This Thursday is the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, and the End Trafficking Project is joining the #igivehope campaign to advocate for the millions of children around the world affected by human trafficking.

The #igivehope campaign was launched in 2014 by the UNODC to raise awareness around human trafficking. This year we are throwing an #igivehope Twitter Party to encourage people across the globe to take part in the campaign, and share it with their friends, families, and communities in celebration of the 2015 World Day against Trafficking in Persons on July 30th.

It wouldn’t be a party without an incredible guest list! That’s why we’ve asked Polaris, International Justice Mission, UNICEF UK, ECPAT USA,and United Way to join our #igivehope Twitter party and help us educate our communities and inspire action.

Of course, you’re invited too! Taking action is easy, and we need your participation. By using your unique voice to educate your  social network, you can encourage thousands of people around the globe to join the fight to end trafficking by following four simple steps:

  1. Follow the End Trafficking Project on Twitter: https://twitter.com/EndTraffick
  2. Follow our partners: @ Polaris_Project, @IJM, @UNICEF_uk, @ECPATUSA, and @UnitedWay
  3. Retweet our posts
  4. Hashtag your own tweets with #igivehope

By participating in our #igivehope twitter party, you’ll be eligible to win special prizes! Lucky attendees will be entered to win merchandise like a UNICEF USA t-shirt or a DVD copy of Not My Life.

We hope you’ll join us on Thursday, July 30th at 1:00 pm EST as we come together with our committed partners to make human trafficking impossible to ignore. Together, we can work toward a world free from exploitation. Awareness is the first step and you can play a part. Help us amplify the #igivehope campaign in honor of the 2015 World Day against Trafficking in Persons and use your voice to make real change!

Twitter Party Rules: Beginning 7/30/15 at 1:00PM EST and ending 7/30/15 at 2:00PM EST, participants must use the hashtag #igivehope in order to qualify to win a prize. (NOTE: winner must be participating in chat and not just retweeting).  Neither the party sponsor @Polaris_Project, @IJM, @UNICEF_uk @ECPATUSA, @UnitedWay, or @EndTraffick is responsible for misdirected or undeliverable Twitter updates, including those from private Twitter accounts.
