Selena Gomez is not your average 18-year-old.

This year alone, the star of Disney Channel's hit series, Wizards of Waverly Place, made her feature film debut in Ramona & Beezus, released her second album, A Year Without Rain, launched a clothing line and graduated high school. Yet, despite all her accomplishments, she recently told Latina Magazine that the reason she was put onto Earth was "to inspire someone and make a difference."

So, when it came to choosing the National Spokesperson for the 60th Anniversary of Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF, we knew there was no better person to inspire children to make a difference than UNICEF Ambassador Selena Gomez.

Oh, and for the icing on the cake - Selena donated that gorgeous dress she wore in her A Year Without Rain music video to the Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF CharityBuzz auction!

We are so proud to have Selena as a part of our UNICEF family. We couldn't be more grateful for her extraordinary efforts to bring life, opportunity and hope to the
world's children through Trick-or-Treat for
UNICEF. She's a true champion for children.

You rock, Selena!
