Club Meet Up

Southwest Celebrates UNICEF Clubs at Spring 2017 Retreat

Students from UNICEF High School Clubs and Campus Initiatives meet to discuss collaboration on UNICEF USA's campaigns.

UNICEF USA empowers American youth to be effective global leaders through resources and skill-building. The Houston Community Engagement Fellow is the point of contact for UNICEF Clubs in the Southwest Region.  Fellows deliver speeches, conduct workshops, and provide guidance with fundraising, education and advocacy on school campuses, while also serving as a mentor to high school and college students.

In February 2017, the Southwest Regional Office hosted a Spring Student Retreat for UNICEF High School Clubs and Campus Initiatives in the region. At this meet-and-greet, three high school clubs and three campus initiatives had the opportunity to brainstorm collaboration opportunities, work through challenges, and showcase the amazing work they have accomplished in the past few months. They identified goals for the upcoming year, as well as ways the Houston UNICEF USA office can support their work.

For the 2016-2017 school year, we have 19 high school clubs and 8 campus clubs registered in the Southwest region. Interested in starting a club at your school? Find more information here
