New Yorkers for Haiti

New York's political community quickly came together to show solidarity and support for the people of Haiti. At a Friday night fundraiser elected officials helped raise more than $100,000 for Haiti relief and recovery efforts. All of the proceeds were donated to UNICEF. The evening's event was organized by Manhattan Borough President Scott M. Stringer, The Haitian Roundtable, National Ethnic Coalition of Organizations and Fernando Mateo, and was well attended by caring New Yorkers and the members of the media.
