As shoppers search to find holiday gifts for friends and family this year, many will continue to look for a gift that gives back. This year, it could come in the form of a pig! New this holiday, national home fashions retailer HomeGoods is offering eight styles of limited edition oversized ceramic piggy banks—with designs ranging from planes to baseballs, and butterflies to hearts—that customers can purchase for girls and boys to help them learn the importance of saving their coins and dollars… as well as saving children’s lives. For each limited edition piggy bank purchased at HomeGoods stores nationwide between November 23, 2012, and January 31, 2013, HomeGoods will donate 50% of the purchase price to the U.S. Fund for UNICEF, with a minimum guarantee of $75,000. Funds raised from these gifts that give back will help UNICEF provide lifesaving services and support—from health care and immunizations, to clean water and sanitation, nutrition, education, emergency relief, and more—to the world’s most vulnerable children. The limited edition piggy banks will be available in HomeGoods stores across the U.S. For more information about HomeGoods or to find a store near you, visit www.homegoods.com/locator. No part of the purchase price is tax-deductible. UNICEF does not endorse any brand or product.
