Launch of The Ending Human Trafficking Locally and Globally Podcast

By Tori Curbelo.

Can’t fall asleep? Long commute home? Cleaning your room? Why not use that time to learn something new and join our conversations about how we can end child trafficking.

This past fall, the End Trafficking team launched the child trafficking podcast, Ending Human Trafficking Locally and Globally, on iTunes and TeachUNICEF. We spent hours recording, editing, and brainstorming topics to help keep you informed on the issue. In addition to our team here at the U.S. Fund for UNICEF’s End Trafficking project, the podcast features guests from leading international organizations such as Polaris, Fairtrade AmericaInternational Justice Mission, and Equal Exchange, who also offer their perspectives on child trafficking.

The series begins with an episode that gives an overview of human trafficking. Each episode takes a deep dive into specific areas of child trafficking and protection.  By downloading, you can learn more about child trafficking in regard to:

  • Supply and demand
  • Women’s empowerment
  • Fair Trade
  • The Syrian refugee crisis
  • Child labor
  • Birth registration
  • Homeless and runaway youth

The podcast ensures that listeners not only become knowledgeable in these areas, but also learn how they can take action against this crime in their own daily lives. Download our podcasts here on iTunes
