Since 2009, the U.S. Fund for UNICEF has partnered with New York Road Runners (NYRR), hosts of the ING New York City Marathon, to secure a designated number of runner spots in the race. So we are really pleased to announce that we have once again partnered up with NYRR, securing 70 runner spots, the most we have ever had in a single race! Additionally, each runner on Team UNICEF - NYC is committing to raising the minimum goal of $3500 to support UNICEF’s programs worldwide. Members of Team UNICEF will receive a variety of benefits, including private transportation to the start line, access to the charity tent on race day morning and the after-race location (showers and food), two invitations to the Team UNICEF Pasta Party, a personal Team UNICEF fundraising page and more... To learn more or to join Team UNICEF - NYC on Sunday, November 3, please visit http://www.unicefusa.org/teamunicef. We know that with the cancellation of the 2012 ING New York City Marathon — the first time in its history — the 2013 race will certainly be even more unique than it has been in years past, and we are excited about supporting the dedicated runners and the city of New York!
