Whether you are scaling the Rockies or longboarding in the Cali sun, we invite you to join us at the Action Center to connect with others and share our mission—achieving ZERO preventable child deaths. On September 13, UNICEF announced that the number of children dying from preventable causes has decreased by 40% since 1990. Back then, 33,000 children died every day from largely preventable causes—like drinking unclean water or not getting a simple lifesaving vaccination. Today, that number has decreased to 19,000. But UNICEF will not stop until the number of preventable child deaths per day is ZERO. UNICEF cannot do it alone: We need your help. To reach ZERO, the world needs committed minds working together. The UNICEF Action Center is the U.S. Fund for UNICEF’s new social media platform that will allow just that, with our dedicated volunteers discussing their ideas and experiences and strengthening the coalition for achieving ZERO. The Action Center allows members to create their own unique profiles and interact with volunteers across the United States. Each U.S. Fund for UNICEF program—from the Campus Initiative to the UNICEF Tap Project—has its own page. On these pages, volunteers can exchange ideas and share best practices for their own passionate causes within the UNICEF mission. You can learn more about the UNICEF Action Center’s unique features by watching this instructional video. Join us at the UNICEF Action Center, and help us reach ZERO. The children of the world need you.
