RICHARD (DICK) HIRAYAMA

A lifelong resident of San Francisco, Richard (Dick) Hirayama spent his professional career as an equity security analyst and portfolio manager. Early in his career, he worked for the Bank of America Trust Department, BA Investment Management, and Associated Capital Investors. He joined Wentworth, Hauser & Violich in 1990 and then went on to found and manage Hirayama Investments, LLC until his retirement in 2016. He has a large family and enjoys spending time with them at frequent family get-togethers. Mr. Hirayama’s philanthropic focus at UNICEF is on hunger and nutrition issues facing children in Africa.
