2014 UNICEF Children’s Champion Award Dinner

2014 Children's Champion Award Dinner
Michael Blanchard

The U.S. Fund for UNICEF hosts its annual fundraising gala, the Children’s Champion Award Dinner, in Boston, Massachusetts, to honor individuals who strive to help us reach the day when ZERO children die from preventable causes. We applaud this year’s award recipient, Heidi Klum for her enduring commitment to improving children’s lives. Heidi joins an impressive group. Past honorees include: Nelson Mandela; Queen Noor; Princess Caroline; the Red Sox’s David Ortiz; the Boston Celtics; UNICEF Ambassador Trudie Styler and Sting, and, most recently, Lauren Bush Lauren and David Lauren.

The U.S. Fund for UNICEF was also proud to award Barrie Landry with the Helenka Pantaleoni Humanitarian Award this year. Barrie is a longstanding donor for the U.S. Fund and currently serves as Vice-Chair of the New England Regional Board. A true role model, Barrie embodies the spirit of the Helenka Pantaleoni Humanitarian Award in her dedication to the children of the world.

Thanks to the support of sponsors and donors that evening, we raised over $1,200,000 for UNICEF’s work for children around the world.
