246 million children and youth around the world are currently out of school. Yet, education is one of the smartest investments we can make to support child survival, growth, and development. UNICEF believes every child has the right to an education no matter the circumstances into which they were born.

At UNICEF USA, we consistently champion legislation and policies that not only promote education for all, but lift up those who are most disadvantaged. In accordance with UNICEF's equity approach, UNICEF USA has sought to rally supporters around education for children in emergencies and those facing violence in schools, with a particular focus on gender and disability inclusion. As a member of the Global Campaign for Education - US, UNICEF USA works to influence Congress and the Administration to pass laws and promote policies that guarantee quality learning for all children, from early childhood through adolescence.
