War, drought, famine, an immense refugee crisis. Children around the world are threatened by an unprecedented number of simultaneous emergencies. In Syria, six years of war have placed more than 8 million children in need of aid: protection, clean water, health care and education. In Iraq, ongoing conflict threatens hundreds of thousands of innocent lives. Nearly 1.4 million children are at imminent risk of death as famine looms in Nigeria, Somalia, South Sudan and Yemen.
We can’t end wars or control the climate, but we can make sure children get the aid they desperately need and a chance at the futures they deserve.
UNICEF is committed to deliver for children in crisis, but we urgently need your support. In this time of great need, we have created a special fund for the world’s most severe emergencies. Donations will be shared among these crises, but we're also accepting gifts directly to the specifically affected: Iraq, Nigeria, South Sudan, Syria and the "four famines" emergency.
Your gift to this global fund for children in crisis will provide lifesaving assistance and protection to children and families in need around the world.
