Haiti Earthquake – 2010

Following the devastating earthquake that hit Haiti on January 12, 2010, Champions dedicated January and February 2010 collections to support UNICEF's long-term rebuilding programs for children in Haiti. A record-breaking $346,751 was collected.
With your support, UNICEF is able to:Expand access to safe drinking water with sustainable water management systems in Port-au-Prince.
· Respond to a cholera outbreak through social mobilization and awareness and support for treatment centers.
· Construct provisional schools in Port-au-Prince. UNICEF and its partners have built 770 classrooms benefiting over 70,000 children.
· Train child protection and child rights advocates, and working with partners to identify and support restaveks, children trapped in forced labor.
