Andrew Hohns, Ph.D. Dr. Hohns serves as a Managing Director at Mariner Investment Group and as Lead Portfolio Manager for funds focused on bank capital optimization and infrastructure debt. Dr. Hohns joined Mariner in 2012. Prior to joining Mariner, Dr. Hohns was a Managing Director at Institutional Financial Markets, Inc., focused on securitization strategies for asset backed loans, bank capital, and municipal debt. In 2008, Institutional Investor named Dr. Hohns as a member of its “20 Rising Stars of Fixed Income.”
Dr. Hohns holds a BS in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, a Masters in Liberal Arts from the School of Arts and Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania, and a PhD in Applied Economics and Managerial Sciences from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Hohns also serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at New York University’s Stern School of Business.
In addition to serving on the National Board of UNICEF USA, Dr. Hohns also serves as Chairman for USA250, a non-profit coordinating America's Semiquincentennial celebration, in 2026.
