Sherry Long is a senior at The Hockaday School in Dallas, Texas, and is incredibly excited to help advance the children's rights agenda in the United States. She currently serves as the Programs and Events Coordinator of IAPSS USA and Canada and has published five reports to the OHCHR. As a first-generation immigrant, Sherry's developmental experiences in an ethnically homogenous country shaped her involvement in UNICEF and ignited her passion for youth empowerment. Now, her advocacy efforts address educational equity on the axes of gender, race, and class and on promoting neurodivergenc e acceptance in educational processes. Outside of UNICEF USA, Sherry enjoys competing in World Schools Debate, writing poetry, and reading Chinese literature.
