Radhika is a freshman at the University of Connecticut, studying Physiology and Neurobiology on a pre-med track with a minor in Studio Art. She became involved with UNICEF first in middle school and created her own club in High School, leading it for two years and the latter as a National Youth Council Member in her first term. During her time with UNICEF USA, she’s been focused heavily on child and gender equity and issues such as Ending Child Marriage and connecting with international advocates and officials of change through her written, in-person advocacy meetings and conventions. Outside of her humanitarian work, she’s a passionate artist, reader, and student. Her work is geared towards making everyone feel included and valued, with a goal of establishing equity in more fields than one. As a future physician, she hopes to carry forward skills of compassion and tenacity into her work with UNICEF USA over the next term!
