Sara Jacobs is the Conflict and Stabilization Policy Officer for Mali and the Sahel at the U.S. Department of State. Prior to this, she worked for the UNICEF Innovation Unit and in the Policy and Best Practices Service of the United Nations' Department of Peacekeeping Operations.
Sarah holds a Bachelors degree in Political Science and a Masters of International Affairs from Columbia University. While at Columbia, Sarah studied abroad in Ghana, where she saw first-hand the crucial work that UNICEF does to help the most vulnerable children. This led her to establish a scholarship fund for promising orphans in Ghana.
Having grown up in San Diego, Sara has an affinity for sunshine and the beach.
