Child Protection in Vietnam
Child protection is one of the programs that Next Generation was most passionate about in 2011. Throughout the year, we raised $100,000 for programs that implemented and promoted child friendly social and justice systems in Vietnam.
This project helped to improve access to justice systems for child victims and witnesses of crimes, as well as provided due process and proper alternatives to children involved in criminal activities. It also worked to train child protection staff (i.e. police, justice officers and community workers) to increase efforts for effective coordination and service delivery- including developing child friendly police interview rooms.
